Iran is cause of high petrol prices, by defiance of its ‘nuclear weapons obligations’ - Australian PM
20 April 2006: Australian Prime Minister John Howard today blamed “Iran’s defiance of its obligation over nuclear weapons” for the spike in petrol prices worldwide. Iran does not actually have any nuclear weapons, of course, and there is no evidence Iran has a program to develop them - so it is understandable that the PM did not specify which obligation he was referring to.
