Don’t Bomb Iran

AP reports that “French presidential candidate Segolene Royal said she would press the international community to ban Iran’s access to nuclear power altogether if she is elected next year.”   Which of course would mean throwing Iran out of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Meanwhile, China and Russia are still not in agreement with Western countries on a UN security council resolution about what sanctions to place on Iran to get it to stop uranium enrichment, (which is Iran’s right to do under the Non-Proliferation Treaty).   The Western draft resolution allows other countries to help Iran build its Bushehr nuclear power station, but bans any deal to sell Iran nuclear fuel for it.
