Ayatollah not dead, as neocon ’scholar’ reported.
Michael Ledeen, influential Neocon ’scholar’, Iran ‘expert’, and champion of regime change, incorrectly ran an exclusive report that Ayatollah Khamenei was dead. He wasn’t, Ledeen’s good sources inside the Iranian opposition were wrong again, and Ledeen embarrassedly changed his report over next days.
From Michael Ledeens website Jan 4 2007 report:
A source close to Pajamas Media has learned that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has apparently succumbed to the cancer that hospitalized him last month, as exclusively reported by Pajamas Media, at age 67. He has been Iran’s most powerful figure since replacing Ayatollah Khomeini in the role of Supreme Leader in 1989. [Check for updates below.]
