“Israel does not intend to use military action” : Peres on Iran
Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Shimon Peres ruled out an Israeli attack on Iran in the BBC’s Doha Debates Special event on January 30th, and said “We don’t have any problems with Iran. The problem is Ahmadinejad”. It seems unlikely that Israel would accept Iranian uranium enrichment under another President though.

SHIMON PERES AT THE DOHA DEBATES
Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Shimon Peres ruled out an Israeli attack on Iran at a Doha Debates Special event on January 30th.
Mr. Peres told a 300-strong student-only audience that Israel had no intention of intervening in Iran’s internal affairs.
“We don’t have any problems with Iran. The problem is Ahmadinejad. It’s a problem for the Iranian people because he does not carry neither a promise nor a solution.” Peres added: “Israel does not intend to use military action”.
The students questioned Mr. Peres on a range of Arab-Israeli issues, including the dismantling of settlements, Israeli incursions into Ramallah and Israel’s interests in Iraq.
Mr. Peres accepted the Doha Debates invitation to travel to Qatar - the first high-ranking Israeli visit to the country in a decade
The event will be broadcast on BBC World on February 3rd and 4th.
