Don’t Bomb Iran

At the IAEA annual  conference, Iran and Israel  attacked each other with unusual ferocity: Iran  called for UN inspections of Israel’s nuclear facilities to “determine the truth” about whether Israel has nuclear weapons (alhough everyone knows it has about 200 of them).  Israel called Iran a liar for saying Prime Minister Olmert admitted it has any nuclear weapons.  UN inspectors in Iran have found no nuclear weapons program.

To repeat: Iran says it does not want nuclear weapons, and it’s facilities are inspected by the UN agency, which has found no military  programme, yet it faces military attack.   Israel has around 200  nuclear weapons,  refuses to confirm or deny that,  refuses UN inspections,  but receives enormous foreign military aid and threatens pre-emptive attacks on Iran.  Isn’t there something lopsided about that?
